You have to cast your cares upon the Lord to be the mom you’re called to be.Īnd what a precious reminder it is to read that He cares for you! This job forces you to realize that you can’t do it on your own. If you’re like me, you can probably say that motherhood has been the most humbling experience of your life. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him for he careth for you.

The Lord wants you to be joyful as a mother! That may not mean that you feel happy all of the time. He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. But it will come, because He promised it. That joy might come tomorrow, next year, or even in a new season of life. God promises you brighter days, no matter how dark a trial you might go through for the present, short time. When that happens, you’re more likely to snap at your kids (done it), be short with your husband (sadly, that, too), and even be too hard on yourself (we can be our own worst critics).
